Table Mountain Hiking & Running Tours EST. 1995
About this Trail Run
Peak Trail running tour offering an exhilarating outdoor experience.
The Chapman’s Peak trail run high above Chapman’s Peak drive, offering stunning views. Starting from the trail head, the path takes you along the mountainside, gradually ascending as you leave the road behind. The initial section weaves through lush vegetation, additionally providing shade and a cool atmosphere. The course dips in and out of wooded ravines with unforgettable panoramas of the ocean and coastline. The views become more stunning as you see the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive winding along the cliffs below.
The route follows a mix of rocky terrain with a single track providing, all in all, some serious challenges. Encountering some steep ascents and descents makes it a demanding run that requires both physical and mental stamina. Along the way, you may come across small streams adding to the natural beauty of the surroundings. The trail eventually reaches a high point as a result, offering panoramic vistas of Hout Bay and surrounding mountains. Take a moment to soak in the scenery and catch your breath before continuing on. From this point, the path gradually descends, leading you back towards Chapman’s Peak Road. The descent can be technical in places, so it’s important to stay focused and agile. Our trail run back to Hout Bay is via Chapman’s Peak drive, part of the world’s most beautiful road, the Two Oceans. Overall, the trail running route above Chapman’s Peak Road offers a challenging and visually stunning experience. It combines natural beauty, breathtaking views and a variety of terrain to create an unforgettable adventure. Just remember to come prepared with proper trail running gear, plenty of water and respect for the environment. As a matter of fact, this run should be on every trail runner’s “to-do” list.

Cape Escape Tours has to be the best tour you could ever be on. Patrick makes your day. On timepick up, polite, knowledgeable, great driver. understands… read more the client, responds to any request, flexible. Full day tour to the cape of good hope with a great hike to the lighthouse. Had ample time for shopping and lunch. A wonderful stop @ Boulders Beach to visit penguins and a love at first site to see Simons Town. Was sad to leave at the end of the day. Any tour would be great but I’d say full days are the greatest. Going back to Cape Town I’d book everyday with him. Thank you Patrick for being amazing keep on being you as you are simply the best.

I had the pleasure to (try) the “Mini” peninsula all day tour. Patrick met me at the lower table car station at Table Mountain to start the tour. I was… read more his only guest, so we had lot’s of time to chat. Being in CT for 30 years and doing mtb for more than 15, Patrick definitely knows the ins and outs and is a very good guide.
The views and impressions, but also the inside informations on the tour were very special and even though I had to realise I would not make it back to the cable car station (I was around 250 / 1500 altitude meters short…), I still loved every meter I rode.
Patrick was kind enough to go on on his self to get his car, after which he fetched me and brought me to my car.
In a nutshell: Patrick is a very nice and fit guy you enjoy being around with that knows the Cape very well. I can recommend booking him–should I be travelling to CT again, I will do so myself!asseeger
