We usually start in the late afternoon, with exact times adjusted seasonally so that we reach the summit just in time to watch the sun sink into the Atlantic Ocean.
How long does the hike take?
The hike is around 5 km return and typically takes 2 to 3 hours, including time for photo stops and enjoying the view from the top.
How difficult is the hike?
It’s a moderate-level hike suitable for the most active hikers. One should be comfortable with height and navigating through rocky terrain.
Is it safe to hike back down after sunset?
Yes. Your experienced guide will provide headlamps and safe navigation for the descent in the dark, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience.
What should I wear?
Wear lightweight, breathable clothing for the warm afternoon, sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots for comfort and grip and bring a light jacket for cooler evening temperatures.
What should I bring?
Pack at least 500 ml of water, a small snack if you wish, and a camera or smartphone to capture the breathtaking views.
Are there climbing sections?
There are short sections with ladders and chains to assist with steeper parts.
Can children join the hike?
Yes. Children 12 years and older, who are fit and accompanied by an adult, are welcome.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather is unsafe (rain, strong winds, or poor visibility), we will reschedule your hike.
